For Making You Feel Sorry for It

My best friend,

I'm sorry for everything that happened, and I'm especially sorry for making you feel sorry for it. Looking back today, it doesn't seem like such a big deal, and I feel horrible for putting you down in the self-righteous way that I did. You didn't really do anything wrong, you just irritated me, and for some reason I let that destroy everything we had built up.

I won't say that you didn't irritate me, because you absolutely did, but I irritated you, too, and most of the time I only argued because I didn't want you to win. I'm sorry for making you feel like a bad person, and I'm sorry that I still can't bring myself to talk to you, even after you've contacted me. Now I feel like I'm the one who wants a second chance.
I really miss you.
