Not Willing To Support My Journey

I can't help but feel like your opposition to my activities regarding AlAnon has so much more to do with your jealousy than with how cult-like you think the program is. It was just another thing for me to do without you (you are invited forever and always). Another place I could meet another man (not interested). Another place for my mind frame to change (I'm not getting all Jesus Christy). I AM NOT SORRY FOR GOING INTO AA even though it has made us grow apart. I am thankful for it every second. I will continue to work the steps and move my feet, not to make you feel like a smaller person, but because in doing this, the huge disconnect from my heart and mind is fast closing gap. And that is what I needed. I AM sorry you aren't willing to support my journey. I AM NOT SORRY you aren't in AA. I never decided for sobriety for you or anyone else but myself. I love you deeply and hope that you can stand by me. My thirty days just passed and it's getting easier and easier but my heart still aches to know that you and my other closest half aren't supportive.

Congratulations on your first 30!! May the next 30 years (not just days) be good to you.

Keep coming back... it works... if you work the program!
